Travel in the A Coruña University Service bus to the Ferrol campus

If you live in Coruña and study at the Ferrol campus, Arriva has a special bus service to offer that might interest you. For only 131 € per month, a 41.5% discount on the cheapest regular fare, and eight free trips in Wi-Fi connect direct between Ferrol and A Coruña on the AP9, you will have the following options:

OUTBOUND IN THE MORNING

6.30 H. Regular Service leaves A Coruña Bus Station. Stops in Guísamo, O Pedrido, Laraxe and Ferrol Bus Station. Arrives at the Campus in Serantes at about 7.50 hrs.
7.30 H. Special Service. Leaves Salesianos School. Stops at Plaza de España, calle Juan Florez y la Iglesia de San Pedro de Mezonzo. At around 7.50 h., you have to transfer to another bus at Ronda de Outeiro (Disco Láser). Then the bus takes AP9 direct and arrives at the campus in Serantes and Esteiro, in Ferrol, at around 8.30 h.
7.20 H. Special Service. Leaves Os Castros (Iglesia del Carmen). Makes three stops at Ronda de Nelle and another three at Ronda de Outeiro, then takes the AP9 direct and arrives at the campus in Serantes and Esteiro, in Ferrol, at around 8.30 h.

MORNING SHIFT

14.10 H. Special Service. Departs Esteiro Campus in Ferrol. Goes by the Ferrol Bus Station at around 14.20 h. Makes various stops going towards Fene, then takes the AP9 direct to the Campus in Elviña y A Zapateira in A Coruña. Then goes on to stop at Os Castros, Cuatro Caminos, Ronda de Nelle, Avenida Finisterre, Escuela de Empresariales, Salesianos, Plaza de España, Juan Flórez and Iglesia de San Pedro de Mezonzo, until it arrives at the last stop Estación del Ferrocarril, at around 15.35 h.
14.10 H. Special Service. Departs the Campus in Serantes, Ferrol. At around 14.20 h., there´s a transfer at the Bus Station in Ferrol. Then, it carries out various stops going towards Fene before taking the AP9 direct to Elviña y A Zapateira campuses in A Coruña. Then it goes on to stop at Os Castros, Cuatro Caminos, Ronda de Nelle, Avenida Finisterre, Escuela de Empresariales, Salesianos, Plaza de España, Juan Flórez and Iglesia de San Pedro de Mezonzo, until it arrives at the last stop Estación del Ferrocarril, at around 15.35 h.

OUTBOUND AFTERNOON

13.35 H. Special Service. Departs Os Castros (Iglesia del Carmen). Goes by Cuatro Caminos, Ronda de Nelle, Salesianos, Plaza de España, Juan Flórez, Iglesia de San Pedro de Mezonzo and Estación del Ferrocarril, in A Coruña. Arrives at the campus in Elviña at around 14,15 h. Then takes the AP9 towards Ferrol. Stops in Fene, Caranza, Porta Nova, calle Cuntis and at the Ferrol Bus Station, arriving at Esteiro and Serantes at around 15.00 h.

INBOUND AFTERNOON

Between 15.30 and 20.30 H. Regular Services. You can take any of the direct services on the motorway which leave every half hour and on the hour from the Ferrol Bus Station.

7.15 H. Special service leaves O Puntal (Neda). Pick up passengers in Narón and Ferrol Bus Station, at 7.40 h. Then, it takes the AP9 direct and arrives at the campus in Coruña at Elviña, A Zapateira and Riazor, between 8.25 and 8.45 h.
7.40 H. Special service. Leaves the Bus Station in Ferrol. Then, takes the AP9 direct and arrives at the Coruña campuses of Elviña, A Zapateira y Riazor, between 8.25 and 8.45 h.

IN BOUND MORNING

14.05 H. Special service. Leaves the Campus of Riazor in A Coruña. Then Elviña campus and joins the bus from A Zapateira at 14.15 h.
14.10 H. Special Service. Leaves A Zapateira Campus A Coruña. Arrives at Elviña at 14.15 h. takes the AP9 direct towards Ferrol. Stops at Calle Cuntis and the Ferro Bus Station. Ends its route in Narón and Neda (O Puntal), between 15.15 and 15.30 h.
14.15 H. Special service. Leaves Campus of Elviña in A Coruña. Takes the AP9 direct to Ferrol. Ends its route in Narón and Neda (O Puntal), between 15.15 and 15.30 h.

OUTBOUND AFTERNOON

14.20 H. Special Service. Leaves the Ferrol Bus Station. Stops in Fene before it takes the AP9 direct to A Coruña. Stops at the Elviña, A Zapateira y Riazor campuses, between 15.00 and 15.20 h.

INBOUND AFTERNOON

21.25 H. Special Service. Leaves the campus in A Zapateira. Merges at around 21.30 h. at the Elviña campus (marquesina Alfonso Molina). Takes the AP9 direct to Fene, where it stops. It also stops at calle Cuntis and ends up at the Ferrol Bus Station at about 22.20 h.

Tarjeta Metropolitana (Metropolitan Card)

The Xunta de Galicia funds up to 40% of the bus ticket with the Metropolitan transport card in the following Arriva lines:

H2 A Coruña-Ferrol, between Ferrol and Pontedeume, both ways.

20 trip pass

If you would like a monthly pass valid for 20 trips on the same route, we will reduce 15% from the normal price of the ticket. You can buy it at Arriva ticket offices at the bus stations.

10 trip pass

If you buy a monthly pass for 10 trips on the same route, we ill take off 10% of the usual ticket price. You can buy it at Arriva ticket offices at the bus stations.

Return tickets

If you pay for a return ticket on the same route, you will save 5% of the regular ticket price. You can buy it at Arriva ticket offices at the bus stations.

Arriva, one of the first bus operators along with De Blas y Cía

Arriva, one of the leading European groups of passenger transport, also became one of the first suppliers of bus services in Madrid after acquiring the operator Blas y Cía, who have more than 35 million passengers a year in the southwest of the Autonomous Community of Madrid with 222 buses and a staff of 679.

De Blas y Cía were founded in 1939 by the De Blas and Gomez families and started operating between Madrid and Navalcarnero. Today, their 34 routes take them to Alcorcon, Mostoles, Navalcarnero, Madrid-Norte, Fuenlabrada and Villaviciosa de Odón mainly.
De Blas y Cía also possesses 30% of the limited liability company which which manages the Transport changer Príncipe Pío, where the lines of the Metro, bus and commuter trains between Madrid and the southwest of the Community meet. And it also counts on two companies, Servicios Integrales Bus & Truck S.A. and Greisi S.L., which are in charge of the maintenance of their own and other buses.
Along with acquisition of De Blas y Cía, Arriva also bought the operators Grupo Esfera and Autocares Fray Escoba, both in Madrid, in 2007. This way, Arriva establishes a staff of 782 and 264 buses in the Community of Madrid.
